Professional Relationship Consultancy
ModHR helps individuals and organizations understand, navigate, and maintain the professional relationships that drive everything else. Whether you're building something great or working through something complicated — this is where you figure it out.
Where it usually starts
Sometimes it's a promotion you're navigating. Sometimes it's a team that's lost its momentum. Sometimes it's just the week that went sideways. You're already doing the right thing by looking for support — let's figure out the rest together.
A structured, confidential space to work through the real mess of organizational life — with someone trained in the psychology of why it's actually messy.
Not therapy. Not a legal conversation. Not a LinkedIn post in the making. Just an honest, purposeful conversation that goes somewhere every time.
Open to everyone. The IC who's exhausted. The manager who's stuck in the middle. The executive who ran out of people they can actually talk to.
Book a SessionEvery session has structure and intention. You leave with clarity, a decision, a reframe, or a concrete next step. Usually all four.
There's a reason the same dynamics keep showing up. We name them, understand them, and figure out what to actually do about it.
No HR paper trail, no organizational liability, no judgment. Sessions are confidential within the bounds of professional practice — which means you can actually say the real thing.
The promotion you're navigating. The team dynamic that's gotten weird. The raise conversation you keep putting off. The week that just went sideways. All of it.
Who We Serve
Most people wait too long to ask for help — you didn't. Whether things are going well and you want to keep them that way, or you're in the middle of something complicated and need to think it through, this is the right place.
The higher up you are, the more isolated the decisions get and the fewer people you can genuinely talk to. We're that person — with organizational psychology behind it and no stake in the politics.
The title changed. The relationships did too — and nobody gave you a map. Whether you're managing former peers or learning to lead at a new level, we help you find your footing without losing yourself.
You don't need a title to have complicated professional relationships. Sometimes you just need a structured space to think clearly about what's happening and what you want to do about it.
Scaling fast, going through a transition, or just realizing that culture doesn't build itself? We help teams understand how they work together — and build something worth staying for.
How It Works
Every engagement starts with a real conversation and ends with something you can actually use. Here's what that looks like.
30 minutes. You tell me what's going on — the real version. I tell you what I think I can do about it. We figure out together if it's the right fit, and if it's not, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
Free · 30 minBefore we do any real work, I need to understand the full picture — the history, the dynamics, the things nobody's saying out loud. For individuals, this is a focused one-time session. For teams, it goes deeper. It's what makes every session that follows actually useful.
One-time · Individual or Org1:1 coaching, team facilitation, strengths mapping, leadership transition support, Productive Venting™ — whatever the work calls for. Every session has intention and leaves you with something concrete.
Ongoing or project-basedThe clients who get the most out of this aren't the ones who come in crisis mode — they're the ones who make it a standing practice. A regular space to think clearly before things get complicated is genuinely underrated.

When someone asks what I do at a party, I ask them a question first. "Who pissed you off last week?" or "Were you happy with your last raise?" They start talking — and eventually I say: that's what I do. I help people work through the stuff that's actually in the way.
Most people who come to me already know what's wrong. They just need someone to sit with the complexity, map the dynamics, and help architect a path forward. I'm not here to hand you answers — I'm here to help you locate the ones you already have, and build a bridge to the ones you don't yet.
I run ModHR lean by design. It's me, my AI research assistant, a deep library of organizational psychology, and a trusted network of referral partners for traditional HR needs. No junior consultants running your account. No templates. Just the work — grounded in a relentless commitment to understanding humans and how we operate at our best and worst.
A Relentless Commitment to Understanding Humans Informed by lived experience, graduate-level org psychology, and a belief that learning never stops
"You already have more of the answer than you think. My job is to help you locate it — and occasionally say the thing out loud that everyone else has been dancing around."— Sidney Bruce, Founder & CEO, ModHR
Investment
You shouldn't have to sit through three "alignment calls" to find out what something costs. Here's what it costs.
Individual
For anyone navigating a work moment — a promotion, a tricky team dynamic, a career question, a conversation you're preparing for, or just the week that went sideways. Structured, confidential, goes somewhere.
Organizational
For organizations ready to invest in the relationships that make everything else work. Ongoing, embedded support that's designed around your actual dynamics — not a generic program.
Custom
A reorg. A leadership transition. A team that needs to get in the same room and actually talk. Time-bound, scoped, built around what you actually need.
Writing
Sidney writes about the human dynamics of work — the stuff people think about after a hard meeting but rarely say out loud.
If success were measured by the time you spend doing exactly what you want, how successful would you be?
